These homeowners recently relocated to Minnesota and purchased an exquisite lakeside home near Stillwater. The home, built in 2014, had most of the features and amenities they needed, but the lower level was unfinished. The Gonyea Custom Homes team worked with the family to create a design tailored to them. With a passion for puzzles, games, college football, entertaining and spending time with family and friends, our clients wanted a space where they could truly feel at home.
The newly finished basement emphasizes casual living, with an open floorplan featuring a game area for shuffleboard, a puzzle room behind sliding barn doors, a custom wet bar, and a recreation room with an overlook snack bar and an outstanding brick fireplace with a German schmear finish technique. Also in the lower level is a bathroom, an exercise room, and a custom bunk room!
