This beautiful home was originally built by Gonyea Custom Homes in 2018. After living in the home for a few years, our clients found they desired a larger owners’ suite and en-suite space to better fit their needs. The Gonyea team constructed a design that expanded their owners’ suite over their existing athletic court to create a more spacious, luxury ensuite bath with a double vanity, larger shower, extra storage, and windows to bring in beautiful natural light. The “before” floor plan shows the original layout of the owners’ suite with en-suite bath and the 2 walk-in closets. The “after” floor plan shows an expanded owners’ suite over the athletic court below. The owners’ walk-in-closet expands in an “L” shape around the new, larger ensuite bath. The third image shows an exterior “before” and “after” of the addition over the existing athletic court.
These photos show the construction of the addition. Our team had to create a strategic plan to expand within the existing home while preserving and not disrupting the original athletic court ceiling and surrounding areas.
