Dan and Susan found an older home (built in 1986) on a beautiful lake shore lot. They came to Gonyea Transformations with the goal of tearing down the existing structure and rebuilding their dream home in its place. This is a remarkable home with an efficient open floorplan, and when the kids are grown up, it will make a perfect empty nest.
Maximizing their view of the lake was paramount, so the Gonyea Transformations team rebuilt on the existing foundation to stay as close to the lake as possible. In the great room, the ceiling, oversized awning windows, and gable windows frame breathtaking views. The open floor plan is flooded with natural light and makes entertaining a joy.
A main floor owners’ suite is not only gorgeous, it will be perfect as this couple ages-in-place. Upstairs, two bedrooms share a bathroom and lofted living room. The lower level has been completely remodeled with a new open floor plan with enough space for a pool table, shuffleboard, and a bar.
Throughout this custom home design, upscale details like the dark stained wood, white wainscoting, and natural stone combine the best of traditional and rustic design.
