Every Home Has a Story to Tell

Since buying their home 12 years ago, Jim and Kim always had an eye towards rebuilding. Although sitting on a beautiful plot of land near the lake, the home didn’t enhance the gorgeous lakeside views, and it lacked modern amenities and space for the family of five. With the help of the Gonyea Transformations team, Jim and Kim decided to completely remodel their home, taking the existing home down to the original foundation. Now, the family can enjoy staying within the community and schools they love, while also having enough space to live and entertain in their new home.

The existing home posed some design challenges, with the original home sitting on a narrow, “postage stamp” sized lot, being only 55 feet wide.

By creating a new floor plan, the Gonyea Transformations team maximized space and function. Gorgeous hickory flooring allowed these rooms to unite as one open space.

The owners’ suite looks out onto the lake and is full of thoughtful designer details, including a transom window in the closet door showcasing an elegant chandelier. As you enter, the closet expands into a large walk-in closet.
